How are validators chosen and what do they do?

Validators are chosen based on a combination of PRESS token staking and FairScore. They play a crucial role in confirming content transactions, voting authenticity, and ensuring uptime of the network. Unlike traditional validators who only process financial transactions, ours must also help uphold publishing quality. We’re also exploring specialized “Proof Councils” — groups of validators that specialize in certain topic areas like science, finance, or policy — to further improve content credibility.
